Special issue information:
Carbon materials and nanomaterials have an important role to play towards developing novel technologies for a more sustainable future. Their versatile properties make them excellent candidates as materials for smart solutions in energy storage/conversion devices including also phenomena as electrocatalysis or photocatalysis. This special issue aims at highlighting recent advances in the area of carbon/nanocarbon and diamond-based designs for energy and sustainability related applications as well as progress in fundamental understanding of principles underpinning their functions.
