Overview
Mathematical and computational modeling of striated muscle has evolved to elucidate phenomena spanning spatial-temporal scales ranging from molecular events that occur within milliseconds to biological remodeling of tissue structure that requires months. This special issue will showcase the latest advances in modeling of skeletal and cardiac muscle.
Suggested topics include but are not limited to computational modelling of:
Myofilament kinetics
Growth and remodeling
Acto-myosin molecular dynamics
Metabolic and biochemical regulation of myofilament function
