Overview
Over past decades, global warming induced disasters have been becoming more serious and frequent. The heatwaves droughts, heavy precipitation, windstorms, landslides, etc. along with warming impacted human being and nature wide and wide , over and over again. The severe European summer drought of 2018 with its widespread tree defoliation is a recent example. The most severe human health, ecosystems, economics, agriculture, fishery and forestry risks have been alerted. However, we are still lack of not good understandings for climate disasters, and impacts and risk of them are even more poorly considered because those disasters had hardly happened in recorded data. Hence, there is a urgent need of interdisciplinary research and cooperation to understand Climate change, its nature and social impacts and disaster risks and their linkages between physical and social sciences.
We invite the researchers and administers to submit their original research and review papers that will contribute to climate change risk research field and service for human being to mitigate and adapt the fast changing climate. This special issue presents the multidisciplinary research covering climatology, hydrology, ecology, economics, city planning, Human health, disaster risk science, etc.
Potential topics include, but not limited to:
Change of climate and related extremes
Impacts and risks of climate change and related extremes on human health, social economics, ecosystems, agriculture, forestry, fishery, etc.
Adaptation to climate change induced risks
Hazard risk science: theory, applications and advance.
