Redox Biology is pleased to announce to announce an upcoming special issue titled “Redox Signaling and Cardiovascular Disease”. This issue will highlight recent advances in our understanding of how perturbations in redox-signaling dependent mechanisms underlie cardiovascular disease and how these insights may lead to novel therapeutics.
We are seeking submissions in the following areas:
Role of redox interactions regulating cardiovascular physiology and function
Role of oxidant and antioxidant systems in modulating vascular inflammation involving endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells, platelets, inflammatory cells and the extracellular matrix.
Role of therapies (e.g. molecular or dietary) for cardiovascular disease via modulating redox signaling
Role of redox signaling in regulating metabolism, bioenergetics
Role of redox signaling perturbations in conferring increased cardiovascular disease risk with other comorbidities (e.g. diabetes, obesity, autoimmune disease)
Role of redox signaling in regulating how the microbiome influences cardiovascular disease
Precision medicine and redox-dependent mechanisms in cardiovascular disease
