Overview
The prestigious journal Chemosphere (ISSN: 0045-6535) is currently running a special issue entitled "Bio-chemical process for air pollution control". As we are acting as guest editors for this issue, we kindly invite you to consider submitting your full paper to this special issue.
Air pollutants, such as volatile organic compounds, SO2, and NOx, etc., have influenced seriously on local/regional air quality, earth’s climate and human health. Bio-chemical process (or biocatalysts) is becoming a cost-effective procedure because of its high efficiency, low environmental risk and easy application in engineering. Recently, a variety of novel biological and integrated physicochemical-biological processes are developed. The proposed special issue will invite contributions that represent various aspects of science and technology and recent innovations in the field of bio-chemical process for air pollution control.
The topics may include:
l Fundamental of biochemical process for air pollutants removal
l Tailored biological catalysts for air pollutants control
l Chemical identification of gesouse pollutants biocatalytic products
l Toxicity assessment of gasouse pollutants biocatalytic products
l Integration of physicochemical and biological process for the removal of gaseous contaminatants
l Enhancement of the mass-transfer rates of poorly water-soluble gaseous substrates into the biocatalyst
l Analysis and optimization of the microbial community structure/functions in the bioreactors
l Engineering practice and case studies of different biochemical processes for air pollution control
