Overview
Astronomy and Computing (A&C) is seeking contributions to a topical issue that it has launched, focusing on astronomy platforms, including science platforms as well as citizen science platforms like Zooniverse. Our aim for the special issue is to cover the many (often similar) ways to enable users to work with astronomy data within the data center environment.
Authors are invited to contribute to this topical issue. To submit, please go to the A&C submission page and select the Issue Type ‘VSI: science platforms’ in the drop down menu. Please contact one of the below Guest Editors in case you have questions about the suitability of your submission or have any other editorial questions.
All papers will be refereed according to the usual refereeing standards of the journal. Every published paper will have to satisfy the usual criteria for acceptance in A&C, in that it must be an authoritative presentation of a topic of significant interest to the astronomical computing community, set within the context of previous work in the field.
Articles for the issue will be published right after they are accepted – all articles will be brought together in a Virtual Topical Issue for easy reference.
Astronomy & Computing is indexed by Scopus and ADS and has a 2018 Impact Factor of 2.760.
