Overview
The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR-associated (CRISPR/Cas) system is now being used widely for gene editing and gene deletion, insertion, and replacement in bacterial and eukaryotic cells. There are a number of rapidly-emerging biotechnological uses for this technology which are attracting increasing attention and a great deal of excitement.
