Natural Products (NPs) derived from natural resources are reported to be wide range of pharmacological properties with less and/or no side effects. The field of natural product pharmacology is now getting much attention among the researchers and number of published articles are increasing every year. Most of the published papers are mainly dealing with either natural product chemistry and/or pharmacological activities, the toxicological point is not given importance. Hence it is necessitated us to focus on the special issue with collection of articles dealt with both natural product pharmacology and toxicology. The special issue aims to provide current trends and forefront research in the field of natural product pharmacology and toxicology with topics as mentioned below. The special issue will address specialists in the fields of Natural Product Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology, Herbal Drugs Discovery, Natural Product Pharmacology, Ethnopharmacology, Phytomedicines, Nutraceuticals, Functional Foods, Marine plants and animals, Mangroves, Wild Edible and Medicinal Plants, and Metabolomics.
Potential topics should include, but are not limited to:
- Recent developments on natural product chemistry and pharmacology research
- Natural Enzyme inhibitors and their role in Food, Pharmacology and Toxicology;
- Quorum sensing inhibitors as new sources of novel antibiotics;
- Isolation and identification of Natural Products from microorganisms, plants, animals, microalgae, macroalgae or seaweeds, mangroves and other natural resources;
- Effect of processing and storage Natural Product Pharmacology and Toxicology;
- Analytical methods
