This year will mark the 10th edition of The IEEE Latin-American Conference on Communications (LATINCOM), and the City of Guadalajara has been chosen to host the conference for this symbolic occasion. Known as the Pearl of the West, the Mexican Silicon Valley, and the land of tequila and mariachi, Guadalajara is rich in history and traditions. It is the country’s second largest city, and one of the most important cultural and economical destinations of Mexico and South America.
Guadalajara has gained relevance as a scientific and technological center, as several major tech companies have established operation sites in this city. Moreover, Guadalajara has a labour force comprising more than 78,000 professionals in IT, and is home to more than 20 universities and technology institutes offering engineering and IT courses. All these factors, together with the pleasant weather conditions of November, provide an excellent environment for celebrating the 10th aniversary of LATINCOM.
